Best airport for eaving Disneyland - Ontario or Santa Ana
I'm flying in to San Diego for a visit there, taking the train to Anaheim and then want to fly out after our Disney stay. Is Ontario or Santa Ana (John Wayne Airport) going to be my best bet? Closest? Most convenient. The flights our of Ontario (back to Seattle) seem more frequent/convenient, but if it's an hour further...I may be willing to have some flexibility. Am wanting to avoid LAX.
Thanks!

Without a doubt SNA ---- Ontario is inland and the traffic is more often then not - a nightmare. I live in Southern OC and have flown in and out of Ontario but make sure I schedule those flights at VERY odd hours (late at night et)...
SNA will be 20 mintues at the MOST away from Disneyland.

I agree with the previous poster - SNA is the far better option to Ontario. The only downsides might be price (sometimes higher at SNA, but I have found cheaper fares there) and flight times - flights do not depart/arrive before 7AM or after 11PM.
Other than that, it's closer and more convenient. And Disney does have shuttle service to SNA.

How are you going to get from Disneyland to the airport ? You said you are taking a train from SD to Anaheim.
If you are taking a bus or taxi, then the few dollars more you spend to fly out of SNA you will save on ground travel fares vs. taking a taxi to ONT.

Don't completely rule out Long Beach (LGB)-- only 20 minutes east of Anaheim, and Alaska Air has nonstops to Seattle from that small, manageable airport.
But if it's SNA vs. ONT-- SNA, no question (although, in a pinch, ONT is not a bad airport at all).

I do like Ontario - although it has been over a year since I have flown in and out of there - the parking is less expensive (not an issue for this poster) and it is nice and small...I agree with the poster about Long Beach - I LOVE JetBlue and fly them often..it is also a nice small airport with inexpensive parking and you get your bags very quickly - as opposed to sometimes at SNA...but for this poster - it is SNA...
