Best airfare rates Miami in Winter?

Looking for best time to purchase least expensive tickets R/T NJ to Miami for Jan. or Feb. Planning 1st time trip to Naples.

There is no way to tell when the fares are "cheapest". The best you can do is watch fares and buy when the price dips low enough for you. If you haven't already, sign up with the fare watching tools on Orbitz or Travelocity. You pick the trip you want, a range of departure/return days, and the fare limit price (at least, this is how Orbitz's Deal Detector works). Then Orbitz will email you when the fare goes below a certain level.

Foodiern. Don't limit yourself to Miami. We live in Naples and often fly in and out of Ft. Lauderdale -- a much more civilized airport and even quicker access to Naples. Also, of course, there is RSW (Ft. Myers).
American does a lot of specials from New York airports to Ft. Lauderdale, much better than to Miami. They currently have a web special good till Dec. 15 for $118 round trip Laguardia to Ft. Lauderdale. Keep checking.

Check out Spirit Airlines from Atlantic City to FLL or Jet Blue from JFK to South Florida.

NJ is a big state. You could fly from EWR, ACY or PHL. Wanna clue us in on which airport is closest to you? If you live near EWR but airfare out of PHL is $200 cheaper, would you really drive to PHL just to save $200?

Sorry, departing from Newark & would prefer arrival into Ft. Meyers. Thanks for all suggestions. Went onto Orbits & found some decent fares.
