Best airfare: Minneapolis and Honolulu?

We are looking to go to Kauai in June, 2006. There are some tickets through Orbitz for $777. Last year when I looked the cheapest rates always seemed to be around $830. Anybody with ideas? Also, Maggi and Auntie Marie, I found a house on Anini Beach with 2 bedrooms through Serenity-Rentals. Thank you again for your help:) Marlene

We usually fly out of Mpls or Fargo, ND. Keep an eye on Northwest World Vacations. Sometimes you can get decent rates using their air & car packages.

$777 seems high. We booked our Feb. trip to the Big Island a few months ago and paid $700 something + miles to upgrade to first class. This is out of Fargo which is typically a few hundred $$ more than Mpls.

Sorry, I hit post too quick! One time we booked NWA to Los Angeles and then did Hawaiian Airline to Honolulu. Our travel agent priced it out seperatly and it actually came up cheaper. Our bags were checked all of the way through. Just a thought...

Anita, thank you so much for your suggestion for Northwest World Vacations. You have saved us $300 plus it's a nonstop flight from MPS, and we get our NW points. Thank you, thank you!! I love this board...

I'm glad I was able to help. I wish I could give you some suggestions on your rental house but we have never stayed on the North Shore. Have a great trip!
