Bermuda Dining Help
I realize this is the US board and am hoping some can offer suggestions for that really great atmosphere amazing meal that makes you leave in love with the chef kinda places to take my mom and sis. We are in Warwick, so anything a cabride away and or in Hamilton works. Nothing too formal or dress code required, but price is not an issue - walking away feeling bliss is.
thanx |
gyppielou: it's been a few years since I have been to Bermuda, but for over a decade one of our favorite restaurants was Four Ways ( and the chocolate souffle for dessert!) -I'm not sure how far it is from you, I am terrible at distances by memory: it is in Paget and you can google it to look at and perhaps see menu -
441.236.6517 is what I have in m notes Once we ate at the Newport Room at the Southampton Princess and that was quite memorable - other than that, we tended to do the "plan" so mostly ate where we were staying |
We had a great meal at "Blu" not too far from Hamilton when we visited friends there.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for but the Hog Penny in Hamilton sprung to mind...

I may do Blu on my night alone.
Hogpenny, if entertainment is scheduled could be a great first night destination. I've emailed them. Thanks so much everyone. Any good breakfast joints out there? Otherwise, I will likely do the Lighthouse one morning before the big dining out night, when I finally make a decision. |
The Lemon Tree is a great breakfast or lunch stop. Just up the hill from the Birdcage next to Par La Ville Park.
Miles Market to go is very good. Special meals, Fourways, Ascots, Blue for the view more than the food, and Tom Moore's. Have a great time. |
I am thinking of doing a half day rental of a boston whaler, thru auatic boat rentals, so Lemon Tree sounds perfect to pick up picnic supplies, since as the boat operator and the only one who snorkles, I'll be out a luck with plunging into the deep unless we find a sandy beach to beach the whaler for a picnic and swim.

We went to Bermuda in June and I did a trip report based mostly on food. It sounds like the Newport room would be too formal for you, although it was amazing. Other than the Newport Room, there was no place we walked away from on our trip "feeling bliss."

thanks em, alas the curse of having experienced the sublime! Alas it is better to head there with low expectations from everything I have read.
