Berkshire Inn or B&B
We are lookning for a neat memorable Innor B&B for one weekday night in late May. We will be traveling from Albany to Boston and will be stopping soemwhere in between. Interested in backroads, good food and drink, as well as antiques. Must be within 2-3 hours of Boston. We have a 5PM flight the next day.
Thanks,
Mark

There's always the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge....full of antiques. Visit the Norman Rockwell Museum while you're there.
There's a neat place called the New Boston Inn in Sandisfield. It's a quick drive from a lot of Berkshire spots, and the people are just so fantastic.

Make sure you go up and see Bash Bish Falls, the trailhead for which I think you actually pick up in New York. It's the prettiest falls I've ever seen.

Drive to Boston along the Northeast part of Mass., if you have time, instead of on Rt 2 or 90... there's a parkway or trail that goes through neat little towns with lots of antique shops and interesting things to see / places to eat. Particularly neat towns I found were Northhampton, and a couple of areas around the Quabbin Resevoir.

Have a nice time!
Anja

I vote for the Red Lion as well....nothing can compare.

Not sure if it is directly on the way, but you might want to stop in Williamstown, MA. It is a quaint and pretty college town with a great museum (the Francine and Sterling Clark Art Museum) and good restaurants (make reservations at Main Street Cafe).
