I love traveling, and agree 'tis better to be alone, than in bad company'. I like company at times, but enjoy going solo too. Even with friends, if we go to a museum, I suggest we explore individually then meet up in two hours to compare notes. There's things that interest me that would bore others to tears, and visaversa.<BR><BR>I've noticed that it's women who seem to hesitate the most about solo travel. For friends and family members I've purchased the book, "A Foxy Old Woman's Guide to Traveling Alone - Around Town and Around the World", by Jay Ben-Lesser. Part I, "Nine Steps to Confident Solo Travel" is great. (No, I'm not affilated with the author or publisher <g> No X in my e-ddress.
