Beltane Ranch B&B
Planning to stay in Room #1--quuen and sing--three friends for girls' weekend. Reviews on this B&B?

This is for a Sonoma weekend spa trip.

We have stayed at Beltane Ranch and liked it very much. It's off the beaten path and far back from the road. My husband enjoyed running through their property. Great breakfast, also.

The property is in a great location, close to many of the fine wineries. It is well off the road, as previously mentioned which would make it very private. :)
We enjoyed Kenwood, BR Cohn, Matanzas Creek (Santa Rosa) and we really enjoyed Gundlach-Bundschu for the beautiful grounds and excellent wine. We enjoyed meals at girl and the fig, General's Daugther (amazing dinner) and lunch at the El Dorado Kitchen on the Sonoma Square in the Hotel El Dorado. You're sure to have a lot of fun! ***kim*** ((#)) |
Thanks for your encouraging responses. Do you mind stating specifically what you liked about it, other than the private location?

The ranch has a great history that might be appreciated by your group - it was originally the weekend retreat for a madam who became a major power broker in early San Francisco. It is a great area for morning hikes and is nearby a wonderful curvy mountain drive that takes you over the hills to Napa Valley (though the faint of heart might choose a more conventional if longer return trip through Carneros. Oh, and when I was there last there was a wonderful chef who lived in the ranch's old water tower for free in exchange for cooking an amazing spread for ranch guests.
