Bellagio, Venetian, Caesars???
 

Having a very hard time deciding between the three. Please share any experiences you might have had. Thanks.

If you can swing it, I highly recommend Bellagio. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, and the service is wonderful. Stayed there over President's weekend and loved every minute of it. The rooms are very nice, the attention to detail is great - every light switch in the room is labelled, so none of that groping around trying to figure out how to turn a light on/off. Turndown service at night is a nice touch. The spa is for hotel guests only and well worth a visit. All services include admittance to the spa and gym, or for $25 you can use the facilities. Had a facial and massage - very relaxing. The casino tends to get crowded as it is the hot tourist spot now, but you have to show your room key to get to the room floors. The pool is gorgeous, however, it was too cold in February to go in. Personally, I would stay there before MGM takes over the operation - IMHO service will suffer. Have a great time.

Karyn, <BR> I have stayed at both Caesar's and Venetian. Both are very good properties. Venetian's rooms are very nice. What I like about it is that you are guaranteed a suite (all the rooms are suites). Some very nice restaurants in the Venetian also. The only aspect I was somewhat disappointed with was the pool area. Below par considering the overall quality of the hotel and pools in comparable properties in Vegas. Caesar's, on the other hand, has a great pool area. The rooms at Caesar's vary, depending on the tower. If you stay there, make sure to get a room in the Palace Tower (large, well-appointed, some with two bathrooms and jacuzzis). <BR> <BR>I have not stayed at Bellagio but have visited it and liked it a lot. Beautiful grounds. Supposedly a great pool. <BR> <BR>All three hotels are in the same general vicinity, so location isn't an issue. Bellagio would be my first pick if the price was similar to the others (or even somewhat higher). My second pick would be Caesar's (but only in the Palace Tower). These are all excellent properties, so I don't think you'll go wrong regardless of which one you ultimately choose. <BR>

The above poster with the comment on staying at the Bellagio before MGM takes over might be right on the money. Bellagio is so classy...like old money. Bellagio is also not over run with children if that factors into your plans. The pool is quiet. Go to lvol.com and read some horror stories of the Venetian. It is a lovely property but so many people have complained about check in and fire drills and construction noise etc. I would enjoy any of the hotels but I think the Bellagio would be hard to beat. Olives is a wonderful restaurant there.

Yes, Bellagio. Just stayed there two weeks ago. Rooms are nice size and exceptionally comfortable. I had to check out the mattress brand because my wife wanted to buy one! The pools are dramatic, beautiful and very relaxing. The art gallery is an oasis in a city in need of more art. Be sure to walk through Venitan and if you like have pizza in the town square. That was such good pizza. Also, Smith and Wollensky's across from Monte Carlo, most delicious steak ever, anywhere. Be very aware of price when booking Bellagio, may vary from $150 to $550 per night for the same room. Check on LasVegas.com or lvol.com. Also test prices through airline websites through their vacation booking pages. We paid $150 via Southwest Airlines website when the hotel quoted $550.

Simply ask anyone who has stayed at all three... (you'll notice lots of people on this forum tell you to stay at one over the other but haven't stayed at the one(s) they advise against). Top to bottom there is no better hotel than Bellagio in Las Vegas.

The standard rooms at the Bellagio are SMALL and not worth the money. I would choose the opulent Venetian!

Good advice on Caesars! Be sure to be guaranteed a Palace Tower room if you go there. We were put in another tower as we went with a package and the rooms are not atractive at all, with mirrors on the walls and ceilings.

Bellagio, Bellagio, Belaggio!!! I just came back from a week vacation in Las Vegas and loved the hotel. I disagree with the above posting that the standard rooms are small. I had a standard room and it was huge! The bathroom contained a large whirlpool bathtub and a shower, and I could do cartwheels in the bedroom if I chose to. <BR>As for the hotel itself, it was so classy. Definitely stay at Bellagio!

Christina, what kind of "standard" room did you get? My room at the Bellagio was in the middle at the front of the hotel (right over those gorgeous fountains) and was lovely, but it was small. My daughter and two of her friends had a suite, and it was fantastic. I just wonder if the fact that our room was comped in advance was the reason that it was a small room. WHERE are the larger ones which aren't suites?

Christina is quite incorrect: There are NO whirlpool tubs in the standard rooms, only "deep soaking" tubs! And Judy, you are correct about the suites since I MOVED to one of them from that claustrophobic, overrated, SMALL room! However, I had NO INTENTION of paying the kind of money I did for the suite, so I will NOT be returning to the Bellagio in the future!!

Okay, the bathtub was not a whirlpool at the Bellagio, per say, but if you turned the faucets on full blast you completely had the whirlpool effect. At least I enjoyed it! <BR> <BR>As for small rooms, I don't know where you guys were staying, but the 5th floor standard rooms are HUGE. I faced out over the fountains, and the other couple that I went with faced the pool. Both rooms were awesome and standard.

My husband and I visited Las Vegas in October and were torn between staying at Bellagio or booking with The Venetian. We chose Bellagio and it was perfect. The hotel is lovely. We highly recommend seeing "O".
