Bellagio special until Feb. 13

Just received a mailing: special promo code C119DMAIL to get a deluxe room (including free upgrade to a lakeview room) for $ 119, a suite for $259, and a penthouse suite for $ 359. As usual these deals are only good Sunday through Thursday, but a pretty good deal if you can snag availability. You can check and book online at bellagio.com by inserting the promo code on reservations.

Thanx Patrick, nice of you to share. I received one of those promos too but of course the promo ends the day before V-Day. Thinking it might be nice to spend the 14th in Vegas. Perhaps I'll call and see what the rate will be starting on the 14th (probably $1000.00) just kidding!

Patrick Nov 6th, 2002 05:12 AM

Yes, I noticed the date. I'm sure it wasn't selected at random as many people would probably try to take advantage of a Valentine's Day stay.<BR>But since Valentines is on Friday this year it wouldn't have made any difference anyway.

k Nov 6th, 2002 07:35 AM

That is nice. We got a two nights free in Dec promo from the Bellagio a couple of weeks ago.

k Nov 6th, 2002 07:36 AM

Whooops!!! That was the RIO not the Bellagio!<BR> Lol, sorry, Big difference, but at the same time, it is a nice hotel and free rooms are a nice perk!

We are interested in this. We will have a baby with us for 2 days. Do they discourage this?

xxx Nov 6th, 2002 10:25 AM

Yes. They encourage you to make babies at their hotel, but don't want you to bring them back after they are born.

Actually I've gotten a couple of even better deal offers -- one from Bellagio, and a free room one at Caeser's plus a free room one at Mirage. Those were all through their &quot;clubs&quot;. I brought up this Bellagio one because it's available to anyone and so many people here seem to want to be able to afford to try the Bellagio.<BR><BR>The free offers are another reason to always sign up for the free &quot;club&quot; at any hotel where you gamble. Even if only playing the slots for a little while, you will still end up getting good future offers once you're on their list. I don't give them my email by the way, for fear of being bombarded with spam, but just let them snail mail their offers.

Patrick, You are a wealth of knowledge. Just wanted to Thank You for all your help on this board. You have many great suggestions. The Bellagio deal is fantastic. We stayed there a year ago and it was beautiful.<BR>I understand you are also an expert on Naples, FL. Can you recommend an everglades tour? Thanks so much, your knowledge on this board is a great help to all.

Patrick Nov 6th, 2002 01:10 PM

Thanks for the compliment, but now you've put me on the spot. I've lived in Naples for over 25 years, but afraid the only Everglades tour I've ever done was a boat trip out of Everglades City from the National Park landing there -- which we all found to be very dull. We didn't see anything except some birds that we see constantly everywhere.<BR><BR>Wooten's Airboat tours about 45 minutes east of Naples on 41 is the oldest in the business and from what I understand is probably the best. <BR><BR>Don't miss a walk on the boardwalk through Corkscrew Sanctuary out toward Immokalee. It's run by the Audubon Society and is very good. A visit to the Conservancy on Goodlette Road is also interesting. You can even rent kayaks there for the bay.

Thanks again Patrick. I will check out Wooten's Airboat Tours. I am traveling with teenagers so I have to amuse them, but the Corkscrew Sanctuary sounds great also. Thanks again.

We might go out to Vegas with a few friends late March. Do the hotels still offer specials like the one Patrick received or is that considered season and deals are just not to be had?

Weff Nov 11th, 2002 02:30 PM

We have already booked a week vacation for a lakeview room. What is the chance of arriving there and getting a &quot;deal&quot; on an upgrade?

Rhonda Nov 11th, 2002 08:51 PM

For &quot;curious&quot;. No need to worry, Las Vegas is forever dishing out deals. I was in LV late Mar. of this year and received a great deal from Bally's/Paris. I chose to stay at Paris. For deals, check the hotel's website, newspaper travel sections (big cities are better) and especially the LA Times travel section. Oh, and keep reading this board. We'll keep you informed. When you get to LV sign up for as many club cards as you can and then you will start to get offers via e-mail or snail mail.

Thanks Rhonda! I will keep checking.
