Bellagio or Venetian
 

My husband and I are going to Las vegas in July. Tyring to decide between The Bellagio or the Venetian. Any suggestions?

My husband and I stayed at the Venetian last Christmas. We got a great deal on Price line, $99 per night. The room was fabulous. The room had a sunken sitting room with huge windows overlooking the strip. There are many things to do and see at the Venetian and across the street at the Mirage. Late in the evening, we hopped in a cab and headed to the Bellagio to see a show and have dinner. If you cannot choose between the two, let the best rate decide for you.

I stayed at the Bellagio and loved it. We had a view of the fountains from our room which made it even better. I thought the Bellagio buffet was excellent and reasonably priced. However, many of the other restaurants were on the expensive side. The Venetian is lovely but I prefer Bellagio's casino and overall atmosphere. The Grand Lux Cafe in the Venetian is a good place to eat with GREAT desserts. There are many more reasonably price restaurants in the Venetian including a decent food court to grab a quick meal. I would stay at the Bellagio and walk to the Venetian and spend a few hours there. Have a great time. Don't worry about the heat. I've been to Vegas in July and August. It's hot but the air conditioning in the casinos is on at full blast!!1

Also, keep in mind that there are many rooms types at these hotels.
My experience may be nothing like yours because I stayed in a suite was near the top of the Venezia tower.
Make sure you compare apples to apples.
See which hotel you can get the best room type for the money.

We were in Las Vegas in October and spent time at both hotels. Personally, I prefer the Bellagio (I like the fountains, conservatory, fine arts gallery, and excellent gelatto), but, as far as hotel rooms go, you cannot go wrong with either hotel.

I generally choose a hotel based on it's location, i.e., one that is close and convenient to the shows we plan to see. That way we can walk to and from the performace whenever possible, and don't have to worry about getting caught in traffic.

In October, we saw Elton John at Caesar's Palace and KA at the MGM Grand. The Bellagio is closer to those venues than the Venetian.

Wow, sounds like I can't go wrong at either hotel. My husband stayed at the Venetian last year and loved it. But, when he walked in to the Bellagio he thought it was awesome. I did notice that there were many room types. I will have to compare rates. I want to be in a good location on the strip, I would like a great pool area. Thanks for all the great information

Bellagio, Bellagio, Bellagio ( i have stayed at both). While standard rooms are larger at the Venetian, the service is much better at the Bellagio.

Ask for a room on a high floor overlooking the Strip.
The rooms are very large, beautiful, comfortable, clean, the linens on the beds are wonderful, I always sleep like a baby on those beds!
The bathrooms could sleep a few more people, the service in the hotel is very good.
The worst thing about the hotel is being tempted by the wonderful shops and having to wait in line sometimes for a table at an excellent restaurant..
I just got an offer from the hotel for a Winter Special, rooms are $159 during certain Jan and Feb weeks. I am not sure if that includes the fountain view rooms.
We always get our rooms for less, call the desk, see what you can get.
We book through the Players Club.
July is fun, hot, but fun :)
