Bellagio lunch
Any suggstions for lunch at the Bellagio? Am I dreaming to expect any great lunch deals at that hotel? I heard Olives is ok.
|
Olives is much better than ok! Todd English is a master at ingrediants and presentation. I am a fan.

As far a lunch deals go you are totally dreaming! :)

Wendy

We spent $45 for breakfast at Cafe Bellagio, take it from there.
|
I had a nice lunch at Noodles. It is great if you like Asian food. No view as it is in the interior of the building, but it has a pleasant, relaxing decor.
We have enjoyed lunch at the Bellagio Cafe several times. Overlooks the Conservatory. It's not cheapr, but it can be done affordably.

Olives is more than OK!
Their flat bread pizzas and salads are excellent for lunch. If the weather is agreeable-try to sit out on the patio-with the fountains going off every few minutes.
|
Definitely Olives! You won't get a great deal on the price, however, but definitely worth the visit. The food is excellent and so is the atmosphere. If you can, and weather permits, sit on the patio and watch the water show (as seen in the movie Ocean's 11). It's beautiful.

You must have the Italian Gellato at the shop near the entrance to the pools. I can't recall the name, but the Gellato was heavenly!!!!!!
|
And yes, you ARE dreaming.

Just a note....Walking into the Bellagio last week (just to look around), we immediately hit a small concession kiosk. As I was dying of thirst (and had forgotten to carry the water bottle with me), I thought I'd buy a bottle of water. I expected a slightly inflated price. What I surely did not expect was $8.50 for an ordinary bottle of water....(8.90 by the time tax was rung up). Bad enough someplace will try to charge that (I did NOT buy it), but what gets me is what kind of person would pay that? These tootsies will never enter such a rip off place again.

I've heard about the dinner buffet being near legendary, but how is the lunch buffet?
|
Noodles is great if you like Asian, and prices are pretty reasonable. If you like buffets, I think Bellagio is about the best, whatever time of day. I think it's around $16/pp for lunch on weekdays.
|
GO FOR THE BUFFET! it's the best value by far. if you are the hungry type and don't need an intimate setting.

BTW, you might consider stepping literally across the street to Bally's and hitting Al Dente -- Home made pasta and great prices.
