Bellagio Lakeview or TI or Mirage Suite
Ok - I'm second (third and fourth) guessing my reservations at Bellagio. We have a Lakeview room reserved for 2 nights (May31st-June2nd). We seriously considered upgrading to a Bellagio suite mostly because of the description of the bathrooms which sound AMAZING. But we can't convince ourselves to spend that much extra ... especially with an extra charge to make it a Lakeview Bellagio suite. Sooooo ... now we are wondering if a suite at TI or Mirage would be a better choice than the regular Lakeview room at the Bellagio???? I know I know ... I'm overthinking this (and making DH crazy) ... but I'd still love fodorite input!

Actually, what you are deciding on is how much more do you want to spend on a bathroom, not a room
The bathrooms in the Bellagio are great, in the ordinary rooms with a Lakeview. How much time do you think you might spend in that bathroom to make it worthwhile to you?
I like showers in the am and a long soak at night in the tub, they have both and I was always content with that.
I would save the extra money and spend it shopping, gambling, eating or on a show.
I also have the snobbish thoughts that a regular room at the Bellagio is better than a suite at the TI or Mirage..but that is just me~

I've only stayed in a Mirage suite and not at TI or Bellagio but can give you my impression of Mirage. I guess I call myself a bathroom snob since I love my bathroom at home and find it hard to compare when at other places. Well, the Mirage suite's bathroom beats mine. It's actually three rooms, separated from the bedroom by french doors. The main bathroom has a jacuzzi tub and all the fun 'stuff' that goes with it, including bath salts. Separate glassed-in shower. Vanity with double sinks, lighted makeup mirror, vanity stool, etc. Marble marble everywhere. Go down the bathroom 'hallway' and you'll come upon a walk-in closet. Keep going and you reach the bidet/toilet room that's probably the size of most regular bathrooms. At the end of the hallway is a dressing area with a beautiful armoire and floor to ceiling mirrors. The only thing that would have completed the bathroom would have been a tv but other than that, I'd give it a solid 'A.'

I would definately keep your reservations at the Bellagio. If you are considering upgrading to a suite, wait until you arrive. There are many times when you can get a reduced rate when upgrading at check in, just ask what the fee would be. No matter what you decide, a lakeview room at the Bellagio is still a fantastic room.

Be sure you're comparing apples to apples when you're talking about Mirage suites. I've stayed in the Penthouse Suite, which is what Tess seems to be describing, and it is ideed a very nice room (rooms, actually). The bathroom is almost as big as a Bellagio Penthouse Suite bathroom. The thing I like best about Bellagio's baths is the large marble steam shower (not available at TI or Mirage to my knowledge).
A petite suite at Mirage has an average size bathroom, and would not be a worthwhile trade vs. Bellagio IMO.
Since I don't mind spending extra $$$ on a great room, I'm not a good person to ask about what YOU should do. (I'd take the Bellagio suite).
Could you get a Salone Suite (not quite as large, but still very nice)?

I've stayed at TI recently and booked a Tower Suite over looking the strip & Siren show. The bathrooms, there are two of them, were fantastic! I know this isn't a 5 star hotel but it's very very nice. The "female" bathroom was HUGE! it had a full walk-in closet, vanity table with chair and magnifing mirror, huge jacuzzi tub, and large area sink. The "mens" bathroom had a shower, closet, and larger sink. We both got so spoiled by this, TI isn't as luxurious as Bellagio but it sure was nice and we got a suite that was more than enough room (over 900 sqft) for $159 per nite. I am also a bathroom person and was so impressed with this room. You won't be disappointed at all if you stay in a 2-bathroom suite.

Thanks for all the responses! I'm still thinking it over. Bellagio Suite is first choice (would love to try the steam shower) but I would need to wait until check in and see if we could upgrade for less so ... its take a chance on not being able to do that OR book a suite at Mirage or TI now ... price for even the nicest 1 bedrooom suite at either is less than the price of the Bellagio suite so I could book that now. hmmmmmmm
Has anyone stayed in both TI and Mirage suites and can compare?

Topping to see if anyone else has comments. I am leaning heavily toward booking a TI or Mirage suite at this point rather than taking a chance on an upgrade at Bellagio so if anyone has stayed at or seen the Mirage suites AND the TI suites that would really help. If you do comment and you know the name of the suite you are refering to (tower or penthouse or whatever) that would be really helpful. Thanks!

Hi there
My husband and I are traveling to Las Vegas in September and we are also considering Bellagio rooms and suits. On their website they list the following rooms:
Partial Lake View Deluxe
Tower Deluxe King
Salone Lakeview Suite
Bellagio Lakeview Suite
I don't see a lake view standard room listed, am I missing something or is it the Partial Lakeview Room you are referring to?
Thanks.

Bellagio is not about the "Lakeview" - but rather watching the incredible fountains do their magic at night - and listenoing to the great music, etc.
Staying at the Bellagio is a huge upgrade over the Mirage (which is nice) and even moreso over TI - which is middle of the road. No comparison as to these hotels/resorts, and the bathrooms in the Bellagio were the first bathroom upgrades along the strip (Steve Wynn was always pushing the envelope) - and are very nice in the "standard" room. If you want steam - go to their great spa.
