Been to an Oprah taping? Was the studio hot or cold?

I'm hoping to get an answer on this tonight. I'm attending a taping tomorrow morning, and the outfit I want to wear is sleeveless. The outdoor weather will support this choice, but I'm afraid the studio will be freezing. Or maybe hot, due to the lights? Does anyone have first-hand experience? Thanks!

Lucky you to get Oprah tix....I've been calling like crazy & can never get thru...got any tips?
As for hot or cold...take a sweater to cover up with!

Have never been to Oprah - but every taping I've ever been to was very cold - its a function of the fact that the stage is lit by enormously hot lights - and the performers would die of the heat if the studio weren't cold to compensate.

SusanM: The studio is probably cold. It has nothing to do with keeping the host cool. It has more to do with the equipment such as the camera needing to be kept in a cold environment (don't want it to overheat or it will break down fairly quickly). I am a TV producer.
I think that isabellasu's advice of a sweater is a good one. At some point, the lights do warm up the studio but not that much.
Have fun!

Thanks, all, for your replies! I can't wear a sweater -- that would ruin the effect! ;) I'll just have to go with choice #2.

Isabellasu, I wrote a reminder on my calendar for the first Monday in August to start calling for Sept. tickets. I called multiple times every day that week and finally got through on Friday afternoon.

I'll let you know how it went!

SusanM: Another vote for cold. My husband just came home and he knows a lot more about tv studios than I do (he's actually a technical guy who has worked in tv studios for over 10 years) agrees that sleeveless is not a good idea. The cold keeps the equipment working at optimum level, he says!
