check out www.vailrentals.com for great condos......the Hyatt is wonderful, pool/hot tubs are in beautiful setting....they remember your name in the morning and practically put your skis on for you!

Can anyone recommend where I should look for packages to visit/ski/board Beaver Creek, stay at the Park Hyatt, air from NYC, etc... I'm thinking winter of 2005 but with the popularity of this hotel, is this even feasible!? Thanks!

Jules, I don't know the specific answer to your question, but since no one else is responding, I would doubt that you will be able to find decent packages including the Park Hyatt. Throughout last year while I was planning my trip, none of the packages were with the Hyatt. So we sucked it up and booked it ourselves. If I recall from years past, the Park Hyatt does sometimes run promotions with American Express. Something else that was odd in planning our trip was that when I checked the various travel websites for beaver creek packages for the nice to very nice places, the results were really no cheaper than what I could get myslef and, in some cases, more expenses. (I assume that's because of the popularity of the resort.) So, don't just rely on one of the travel websites without checking what you can get for yourself. Good Luck.

skipop-I'm finding more and more as I book my travel vacations each year that the travel websites really don't offer any BIG bargains any more. A few years ago, travel websites had great rates, better than booking with the hotel direct. That's not the case anymore and sometimes the hotel will even BEAT web rates. But I don't think there are any great deals to be found in VAIL during ski season.
It's such a popular place and you're going to pay top rates for the best resorts because they know they can fill the rooms. But I will check out American Express Travel Services. I just booked a cruise through them and got a pretty DECENT deal. Thanks for all your feedback. Happy Travels!!!! |
