house/cottage rental in Seward
We are looking for a house or nice B&B in Seward for one night in August that will sleep 7 people. I have checked out VRBO and some other websites but having trouble finding the combination of availability and suitability for our group . . . any suggestions?

If you have a car, you might consider staying at the Spruce Moose in Moose Pass; it comfortably sleep eight. It is a three level chalet with two bedrooms and a bathroom on one floor, a living area with a sofa bed, a huge bedroom and bath on the top floor, and an alcove with a sofa bed. It has a full kitchen, hot tub, satelite television, and amazing views.
It changed owners this past year and is no longer a fantastic bargain; however, it is still very reasonable.
You can do a google search for the Spruce Moose or Moose Pass, Alaska.

Thanks for the responses. Spruce Moose looks great but also concerned about the distance since we will be driving back in for dinner in Seward and driving back in then next morning. I found a couple of B&Bs at Bear Lake which is described as about 6.5 miles from Seward - is anyone familiar with this area? I am hoping it is only 10-15 minutes driving.

The Salt Water Lodge has a series of rooms that might be worth a look. Some come with multiple bedrooms and beds. In the picture below, the building on the right has an upstairs and downstairs (they aren't connected however). We stayed in the downstairs unit and it was very nice (although the ceiling was paper thin; easy to hear the goings on above). Not much closet space, however. Views are incredible. Seward is just a 10 minute drive.
