beach blanket babylon tickets

Going to book tickets for the show, are the rear seats okay, $25 US ,they are the cheapest but we don't want to spend a fortune (we are on a budget and the exchange doesn't help) or is it a waste of time going if you aren't close to the action.

There are two rear areas - we were in the rear balcony - good, but not great.
The show is a must do, IMHO!
$25. seems reasonable.

I've been in them and they're fine. It's really a large scale production show with exaggerated action, chorus lines, big sets and enormous hats being a lot of the fun, presented in a surprisingly small space. If I would warm anyone off any seats, it would be the ones near the front. Go and enjoy--its an exhuberant and hilarious show. You won't see anything quite like it anytwhere else.

Agree with johncharles.
The first few balconey rows would be best, but those were long gone when we reserved our rear Balc. seats.

Hi again, its the rear balcony seats which we can't reserve that we are thinking of buying. I understand you buy the tickets and then have to que to get in. The show starts at 7 on a Sunday night, what time should you start to line up. Also any recommendations for a meal close by to the theatre, again not tooo expensive.

You do purchase your tkts ahead of time and then GET THERE early to stand in line til they open the doors--
Then it is a mad rush--we had a choice of either down below or up in the front balcony- the tkt taker told us to go with upper front balcony as they you have a totally unobstructed view- He was RIGHT! A fabulous funny show! You will love it...Definitely NOT a waste of time- actually a highlight of our SFO trip...

We went on a late Sunday afternoon and had dinner after the show at Moose's 1652 Stockton which was moderate and interesting in April '02.

We arrived after the doors had opened, went immediately to the "will call" (left side line at doors then) with only one or two small groups ahead and when I got the tickets, my friend was nearly to the entrance doors as she stayed in the longer que.
It was pretty seamless.

Hey folks, I'm confused. If you buy tickets ahead of time, don't you get reserved seats? Or, are you just reserving a section (e.g. Balcony)of the theatre and then have to que for any seat in that section?
Thanks.

We got res seats, but had to pick the tickets up at "will call" - not a problem I do that all the time.
