BC or Tetons

My wife and I go on vacations for scenery and wildlife and a little hiking and have been to many of our national parks We're trying to decide whether to go back to the Tetons next summer for a week or go to British Columbia. We've been to Banff and Jasper and wonder if BC would be much of the same. Thanks!

Skip the Tetons this time and go see all you can of Yellowstone.

My choice would definitely be the Tetons!

Depends on where in BC. The national parks in eastern BC - Yoho, Revelstoke - are quite similar in appearance to Banff and Jasper. The Kootenays (basically south of Revelstoke) are also beautiful but not hugely different.

However, BC is a very big province, and farther to the west - the Cascades and coast range - things are quite different. You could, for example, explore the Inside Passage and Vancouver Island. Lots of mountains, but also islands, fjords, some terrific cities like Vancouver or Victoria...

Or if you haven't been, combine coastal BC with Olympic National Park in Washington, which has a remarkable amount of diversity, from alpine meadows overlooking a mountain wilderness, the incomparable coastal rain forests, remote and spectacular rocky coastline, lakes and waterfalls.

Or, have you been to Alaska? Easily accessed from Vancouver or Seattle.

As gardyloo says, you could choose an area of BC that is similar to Banff and Jasper or an area that is very different. It sounds like you would benefit from doing some reading about BC. Areas along the coast and Vancouver Island are about as different from Banff and Jasper as you can get, but still lovely with lots to see and do.

If it were me - and it isn't - I'd opt for the vast variety of British Colombia.

Tetons AND Yellowstone would be great. The OP doesn't really say how much they have been there.

Can't really lose with either choice, methinks!! Lucky folks.
