B&B's in Key West

Looking at B&B's in Key West for the beginning of May - has anyone got any comments on the Island City House rooms/suites, or any other suggestions? Thanks!

We just got back from Key West. I don't know anything about the Island City House. We stayed at the Southernmost Point Guest House (not the Motel). It was very nicely furnished with beautiful grounds. It is on Duval St, but at the very South end (hence the name) where there is very little activity. Mostly other B&Bs. It was great for us, because we didn't hit the bars at night, so we enjoyed the solitude. But if you want to be able to stumble home at night, pick something further up Duval St.

Stayed at Center Court last year. Very reasonable ($109 for an efficiency). Very clean, nice touches (down comforters), hot tub and deck that you share with only the other two units in your building! Check it out!

I was just in Key West for 2 nights this week. We stayed at a lovely place on Fleming Street called Ambrosia Too. This is part of Ambrosia House across the street. We had a poolside suite which cost $179/night. I know that sounds pricey, but the prices go down significantly in about 2 weeks. It was so peaceful and tranquil there. The setting was beautiful. The price also included breakfast. I found the place at www.keywest.com.

Chris,

My husband and I stayed at the Island City House for three nights last month. Our suite was quite large, including a full kitchen (which we didn't use). The rooms are nicely furnished and very clean. It is located on a quiet street about three blocks from the marina and about a ten minute walk to Duval Street. Breakfast in the garden was delicious. Hope you have fun.

The Alligator and the Mermaid is a beautiful guest house in a great location. Also the Heron House has some great rooms. Both have web sites.
