suggestions on where to live and where not to live for a young female that starts a job with Exxon in Baytown, Texas ???

Budget?

Does she have a car (she da-n well better, it's Houston area and everything is driving distance)?

Commuting limit (miles/minutes she's willing to commute)?

Baytown's not a young people hot spot.

I'd live in Houston proper and commute.

Many many moons ago I lived near the loop and 59 and commuted to Channelview. It wasn't bad and I definiteky wouldn't have wanted to live around there though maybe Bay town is better.
