Bayfield Restaurants

I need some guidance about Bayfield Restaurant. I know about Wild Rice..I need to have some recommendations for others...good food..doesn't need to be fancy., Thanks.

Sorry, that would be Bayfield. Wisconsin!

I've always had a good meal at the The Old Rittenhouse Inn, rather on the fancy side though.
Maggies is fun and the food is good.

I think the Old Rittenhouse Inn might be too fancy for this group. I know about Maggie's--but am worried about the no reservation policy because there are 14 of us. WE don't have to sit at the same table..but it's a Friday night and I think that could present problems.
What else?

Maybe Gruenke's for their fish boil?

I would give Maggie's a call, they may make a reservation for that large of a group.

Is Gruenke's pretty good? I wondered about that too...I'm not sure everyone is crazy about fish though.
I did call Maggies....wouldn't take a reservation.
What else can you tell me....
Have you been to Wild Rice..it's expensive....is it worth it to you?

I haven't been to Bayfield for several years, so I'm out of advice for Bayfield. Are you limited to dining in Bayfield with this group, or could you drive a bit further?
Ashland has a beautiful hotel on the water that serves a nice dinner.
They do have a outside deck for drinks/dining.
