Bay of Fundy Tides

My husband and I are planning a visit to Acadia in a few weeks. We are interested in seeing the tides come in at the Bay of Fundy. After our trip to Acadia, where should we head to witness these incredible tides?

Hopewell Rocks in New Brunswick is pretty fantastic in that respect. There are 30 foot pillars with trees on top at low tide. At high tide, they look just like little islands.

We stayed at Moncton,New Brunswick and witnessed 40 ft tides! Make sure you see the tide out, and walk on the beach, then come back and see, like the previous poster stated, tree tops in the water. Amazing! Be sure and take aqua shoes for walking.

Thank you both so much! That's exactly what I needed to know. :)

If travel time is an issue, you can see the tides in Eastport or Lubec Maine. The tidal difference is not as great as at the northern end of the Bay of Fundy, but Eastport is much closer to Acadia -- about 3 - 3.5 hours.
