Battistas Hole in the Wall

Hi, My husband and I will be in Vegas in July. We are looking for a few different places to eat. I've seen Battista's mentioned a few times and I'm wondering where it is located? I know it is an Italian place, but could someone give me a few examples of whats on the menu. Also what is the price range? I've heard it is a casual place, but can you wear shorts? One last question is it true that you get wine included in the price of the meal?
Thanks

Its located behind the Barbary Coast Hotel, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's a throw back to the 1970's, and not in a good way.

Try the Market City Cafe in the Monte Carlo or Le Provencal in the Paris. Both are far better choices for Italian food at a similar price.

I've been there. It makes Olive Garden look like a five star restaurant. It is incredibly bad!!!!!

A place to be avoided in my opinion. Totally disappointing meal that was fair at best. Too many other good palces to choose from.

Personally, my family and I really like Battista's. I was just there last week and had a very good meal. (MUCH better than Olive Garden!) The atmosphere is very neat with old "rat pack" pictures on the wall. I've NEVER had a bad meal or lousy service there!

We ate here last year upon some recommendations from this forum and we thought the food was horrible.

Yes, it's very casual; yes, the wine was free but it was the cheapest red or white made and we all (2 couples) thought the spaghetti and lasagna were a step below TV dinners.

If you know good Italian food, you'll be disappointed here. Unfortunately, we only ate Italian this one time so I can't recommend anyplace to you.

We did have excellent steaks, great service, and a nice view downtown at the old Binnion's Horseshoe Steakhouse. It was old, traditional LV.

Have fun wherever you decide to eat!

Sandy

Thanks everyone! I guess most of you didn't like it, so most likly we will pass.
ChristieP although you were the only one that gave it a good review, I have heard other favorable reviews including one from my sister and brother in law. They were their a few years ago though. Thanks again for responding!
