Baseball and Hardshells in Baltimore
I will be attending the afternoon O's game this Sunday and would love to have hardshell crabs after the game - can anyone suggest a place near the Yards for good hardshells? Also, should I get a ticket in advance or should I be ok getting walk up tickets? Thank you in advance!

While it could never hurt to get tix in advance, you should be able to get something at the stadium, as the Yard has been pretty empty this year. A nearby place for hardshells is Obrycki's, although I'm not a huge fan of their seasoning (too peppery, and not Old Bay like I like).

Suggest you contact ASC at www.ticketnow.com for Orioles ticket availability. It's a better bet for decent seats than buying scapler stuff outside the park. You can see what they have available in various sections, and the prices. They use FedEx and are very reliable. Not cheap, by any means, but they deliver good seats always. I've used them four times - will be up there Saturday to see Toronto - assume you're hitting the 1:35 p.m. game Sunday. Enjoy the park - great food places behind right field - simply walk along first baseline and follow the crowds. Very efficient place. Many like Boog's bar-b-que. There may be some hard shell crabs places there - you may want to check the park's wesbite.

thanks- I'm going to check the website for tickets now- I appreciate the suggestions!

O's rarely sell out. If you're concerned, order through Ticketmaster and mark the option for Willcall--so the tickets are waiting at the walk up window--no point in paying FedEx charges. If you're looking for crabs nearby I would head to Canton and go to Bo Brook's. Obrycki's are not a favorite and it's a rough area.

I'd have to second the "Bo Brooks" recommendation. We have loved O'Bryckie's black pepper recipe and their crabs are probably still real good but the area is changing.

I'd probably feel better if my ticket was in my hand.
