or

roof top bar/bar with a view (not the Marriott View)

I guess a combo of the 2 is out of the question?

Isn't there a UN Plaza Hotel with a high-up lounge - or am I dis-remembering?

The Lobby Lounge at the Manadarin Oriental for the view.

The rooftop bar at the Gansevoort Hotel is very cool. I also agree with the bar in the lobby lounge of the Mandarin Oriental.

Outside at the PenTop -- top of the Peninsula Hotel. Get there before 5:00 or after 8:00ish for a seat outside.

There seems to be a sudden disease. What is with all these people posting these nebulous subjects.
