Barrington Inn - Block Island

Hi,

Has anyone stayed here? Is it nice? Is it a good location? Good value for the money?

Any info is appreciated.

- Max

Most every location is a good one on the island. I've stayed at the Weather Bureau Inn and Champlin's Marina, so I can't help you with the Barrington. Sorry! You should have a great time, it's gorgeous!

Would you recommend Weather Bureau? Tell me about it.

Hi madmax,
The Weather Bureau Inn is nice, it's got only a few rooms with private bath, we requested a corner room with a fireplace. Breakfast is included, very good, and complimentary bikes to use. I would suggest unless you are into biking, renting a scotter from town (very hilly!). No phone, no TV, no radio, just a bed. It's not appropriate for children. It's walking distance to ferry and beach and town center. Great place to walk to and dine or for cocktails is The Beach Head, with panoramic view of the beach and ocean. My other choice would have been the Blue Dory Inn. Check out www.blockisland.com for more info.
