Barbary Coast, Boardwalk and Orleans In Las V.

Still undecided as to where to stay, comments and views are conflicting. If we choose a large hotel and Casino or a smaller one. I've been reading some reviews on the Boardwalk, Barbary Coast and Orleans that have been quite good. They are also such a reasonable price, but don't want to end up somewhere poor just by saving on cost (cost not priority) its more about getting what we want i.e. nice size clean rooms, possibly a view, friendly helpful staff, easy access to places. What are your thoughts on these three? Thanks in advance.

barbary coast is in a great location and in general gets good reviews for a basic hotel. it doesn't have a pool if that is a consideration for you.

orleans is quite far from the strip. you'd have to take shuttles back & forth. not worth the savings in my opinion.

Looking at your list (nice size clean rooms, possibly a view, friendly helpful staff, easy access to places) OF THESE THREE YOU MENTION, Barbary is the only one that fits the bill.

That being said, I would only stay at the Barbary if you've been to its casino before. If you have, then the clientele, the atmosphere, the cleanliness factor etc. is indicative of the hotel. And, you'll know whether it's right for you.

I wouldn't stay there. To me, if I wanted a small hotel/casino, I would stay at the Golden Nugget. But its location ain't great - you will get tired of the downtown area and long for the action of the strip.

I would just book Mirage or Treasure Island and be done with it. Bigger is usually better in LV.

Barbary Coast is by far the best of the three that you mention. I have stayed there before and the rooms are actually clean and nice. Location is great.
