Banana Bread
When I was on Maui with my parents at Christmastime, 2002, on the road to Hana, I was all excited about stopping at Aunt Julia's (I think that's what it was called) for banana bread but we found that she was closed. Does anyone know if she is closed forever (and why, if that's the case)? Also, does anyone know if there's another good place on the island (perhaps a little more accessible) where I can satisfy my craving/addiction? My husband and I are going in November and my mouth is already watering.

I can't help you with an answer to your question, but I do have some advice. The heading of Banana Bread on your post made me open it to find out why you were posting about food. Why don't you repost with a heading that mentions something about travel and what you want. Even saying something like "Banana Bread in Maui" would get people to respond.
Good luck. I also love Banana Bread. |
Ladies, if you like, under the "traveled in the Southern U.S." thread, I will post "Hawaiian Banana Bread" for you, so fabulous and EASY!:-)
If you bake, let me know......... |
We got yummy banana bread from the snack shop out at Keanae Point:

Just look and you will find banana bread everywhere--at the Farmer's market in north Kihei, at coffee shops (DH likes the BB at Grandma's), at the Gourmet Taste Shop in Pa`ia and at little shops , cafes, stands, etc.
