Baltimore restaurants
I am planning to be in Baltimore in July. Can anyone suggest some great places to eat? Price is not that important, high quality food is. Also would appreciate suggestions for the best places to eat Bluepoint crabs. Thanks!!! |
According to "Baltimore" magazine the Best restaurants include :
For Seafood (including CRABS)go to Bo Brooks Crabhouse & Restaurant(#1), Daniel's, or Gibby's (in Timonium, just North of Baltimore). For Formal / Ritz go to the Brass Elephant, Hampton's or the Milton Inn. For Beef and Steak go to McCafferty's, the Prime Rib, or Ruth's Chris Steak House. For Fun go to the Hard Rock Cafe (at Harbor place) or the Cheese Cake Factory. For Italian go to Baltimore's Little Italy section You might want to check out some local web page like www.wbff45.com (local TV stations) www.sunspot.net www.wbal.com www.wjz.com You should try and see our new staduim(S) while you're in town , and see an O's game. Enjoy Baltimore |
Obrycki's Crab House--is the famous one. It's closed from January to April. I would also vote for Bo Brooks--yum-- but crabs at dinner only, not for lunch.

The best Italian is De memos, I'm not sure of the spelling. It's in little Italy. They will send a car to pick you up and give a little tour.
|
For another Italian restaurant in Little Italy, go to Sabatino's. Been there a few times and really enjoyed it.

For the best (and largest) crabcakes around, go to Angelina's. They are pricey but worth it! |

You won't find any quality places at the Harbor - best to go
to Little Italy (DaMemmo really is good, even if the atmosphere is overdone, with too many pictures of the owner, his family and every B-list celebrity that ever walked through the door), Fells Point area - a really GREAT place is the Pierpointe, which is a few streets north of Fells Point, near Broadway market. Further uptown, the Polo Grille on University Parkway near Johns Hopkins campus has a great Sunday brunch. To the East, out Eastern Avenue a few miles from the Harbor, is the legendary Haussner's - German, American , seafood in a unique art-filled restaurant. |
Hull Street Blues is great. Small restaurant in neighborhood near Ft.McHenry. Great Food!!!!
