Baltimore - public transportation
My husband are headed to Baltimore for an anniversary trip next week. It's a quick trip, so we won't have much luggage and have no problems/aversion to using the transit system (though we prefer metro trains over buses). We also don't mind walking five or 10 minutes from a stop to the hotel. We're staying at the Hampton on East Redwood Street.
However, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get from the airport to the hotel. I've searched the Baltimore public transportation sites and they're not very clear. I'd greatly appreciate detailed directions on how to get from the airport to the hotel. Thank you very much! |
Here's a link for the schedules of the Light Rail:

Have you checked the BWI ground transportation section?

Hi ebflo
Agree with BaltoTraveler; Light Rail is the way to go from BWI Airport into the city if one wishes to use public transit. I took it once to the airport, and the light rail station is located delightfully close to the airport terminal; you're at one end of the Light Rail line, which is nice too, since you can likely pick your seats when you get on board at BWI. Follow signs for Light Rail and (unless they've changed the design) look for the cute white & blue trolleys! Bon voyage! DAN |
I had suggested the Camden Yards stop for walking to E. Redwood. Looking at the map again, I would say a shorter walk would be from the Baltimore Street stop.
