Baltimore Camden Yards Question

For those who attend Orioles' games at home frequently, what part of the stadium do you prefer, for seating/tickets?

Thanks!

I have two games I will be attending- and will probably try one outfield spot. And one infield. Is there an electronic scoreboard, and a location where it isn't clearly visible? And these are night games, but in April- so if there is overhang- under the overhang and good seats area- let me know the number.

Someone gave me a section number months ago and I can't find it.

THANKS!

By June, when the Orioles will be out of the pennant race, seats will be easy to get.

Night games in April... Ah, I remember it well....

It will be freezing butt COLD!!! At least that's what I remember from 20 years ago in Memorial Stadium. I don't think Camden Yards will be warmer.

And hiding under the overhang doesn't help. I remember in April of '87. On our way to the ticket both (back then there were plenty of walk-up tickets available for almost every games) a guy offered us two tickets. He had 4 season tickets and thought we looked decent enough to sit next too. We didn't even have to pay for them. Anyway, it was under the overhang and still April cold under there. We stayed for the whole game. Our benefactor and his wife left about the sixth inning which we didn't understand because Juan Nieves of the Brewers was pitching a no-hitter!

Baltimore is a great baseball town. By the sixth inning the crowd had turned and was rooting for Nieves!

I'll try again.

I'm not worried about weather. Our games in April, in Chicago, are cold too.

I was more concerned about drizzle or rain.

But I'm just looking for a good seat section number, and it doesn't have to be real close to the field.

Try for the seats along 1B (stay away from behind home plate as some are obstructed view)-Sections 19, 17, 15 have an overhang. However, it is quite low and does block some of your view.

Thanks so much, tchoiniere, your picture was worth 1000 words.

I'm sure I can get tickets at the gate, but may want to get them for the 1st night we are there, by mail-and then buy the next night, while we are at the ball park.

THANK YOU.

We sat once in "club seats". Regretted it. It was like a ghost town - very nice section, comfy seats, but none of the baseball game atmosphere that makes it fun.

gail, that's understandable, it is. I've had club seats at the Cell, our White Sox stadium, and it is the same, to me.

No, we won't get club. I know just what you mean.

We have season tickets in Section 346 in the Upper Reserve. We love these seats. They look down the first base line. And with binoculars you can check out the dugout.

About mid way up the section is the top overhang - which means if it rains you are good. And if it's hot, you can go up about 10 rows and get the cool breeze at the top of the stadium.

The scoreboard/jumbo-tron is in middle of outfield - so beware that if you are sitting there, you will have to turn around to look at it. At one game last year we upgraded to the fancy seats where you have access to the nicer shops/bathrooms inside. The seats were in left field I think. We didn't have a clear view of the scoreboard, but pretty nice.

Thank you SO much SavTrav, that is exactly what I wanted to know. We still haven't bought tickets for the second game yet, will when we get there- and I will probably do the 346, as I like the upper decks at home too. And we are much lower for the first game.

And if we want something different after being low near the first base, instead- then we might even go to the fancier ones you mention in left field.

Can't wait, and you have made me visualize and anticipate. I don't care if it is cold and damp, just hope we don't get some strong rain gusher weather.
