Baltimore Airport Question
I asked before, and I'll try again.
From the airport to close to the Inner Harbor, is it better to take a cab, mass transit, or shuttle? Logistics to cost, time etc.? What do you think? Honestly, it is about 10 or 11 miles and this is the Radisson Lord Baltimore hotel destination. Cab would be easiest and quickest- but are the other options easy here at this location? |
Go to the following weblink, it gives you some of the information you're looking for.. http://www.bwiairport.com/ground_tra...d_private_car/

Cab would be the quickest and easiest way to go. I would totally rule out a bus you would have to make many transfers. You could take the light rail from the airport and connect at Cromwell station for the inner harbour. This way it would be about 40-50 minute commute. If you choose a cab it would take about 20-30 minutes.

Thanks, I've found several links to shuttles but they don't give fees lists at all, which I find so weird.
Even our hotel merely names a few but doesn't give fees. I guess they change too often. The train information is exactly what I needed. I looked at all the routes and unlike D.C.'s they look Greek to me. I can't even tell which is closest by their vague maps. |
For train you want to take Marc which is the commuter rail for MD. The PENN line runs from DC to Baltimore and other points. There is a station at BWI that is reached by shuttle bus from the terminals and runs every 10 minutes or so. The MARC train runs every hour or so from about 5am to 10 pm the fare to Baltimore Penn Station is $ 4 ow.
From Penn Station it is a short taxi ride to the inner harbor. |
I second the idea of taking a cab, if the extra money is not a problem. Any form of PT - buts, light rail, or MARC - would take a whole lot of extra time. Yes, they are options, but they're not easy ones.

Thanks, all.
Depending upon how we get there, any delays etc. We have to make a night game, so it will probably be a cab. But that is exactly what I wanted to know, and I appreciate it. We may take the train back. |
If you take the light rail you wont have to take a cab from the station. They have a stop right by the inner harbour and Camden Yards. If you choose to take it home get on at the stadium and get off at the Linthicum stop and tranfer there to BWI. It really is easy to do.
