Bally's or Paris
My husband and I will be going to Vegas in June. We've stayed at the Venetian in the past but we're considering either Bally's or Paris for this trip. Any recommendations? Room size info, etc. would be appreciated. Thanks:)

Paris is a superior hotel to Bally's. As you probably know they are both run by Hilton. You can get a better rate at Ballys but Paris would be my recommended way to go.

We were in Vegas last week and stayed at the Paris, and were very pleased. We had a regular room and found it extremely comfortable. We really enjoyed the hotel and found the service to be excellent.

After staying at the Venetian myself, I could NOT imagine staying at either of those properties!!!
|
Hi...agree with last post. I think you will dissappointed in either hotel after staying at the Venetian. Room size does not compare!

All, Thanks for your responses. I agree - the Venetian is wonderful! However, their rate for our trip this year was really astronomical. We thought we'd get more out of staying at a less expensive hotel and doing more with our money - gambling, shows, restaurants. Seems from the comments I've received, that Paris is the winner. Any other comments by readers would be welcome. Thanks :)

Last year we stayed at the Paris for 4 nites and would definitely return if the rates fit our budget.

Have fun...

If the rate for Bally's is significantly cheaper than that for Paris, I would consider staying there. The rooms are pretty spacious and well-appointed. The two hotels are connected and staying at one is like staying at the other (signing privileges, use of either pool, etc.).

Taking nothing away from Bally's or Paris..and I can say,..I have stayed at Bally's and only walked thru Paris...but have stayed at Venetian on several occasions...I do not think it is a multiple choice question..I would absolutely stay at Venetian unless cost is rates are the main consideration...Venetian is not the cheapest place to stay...unless you can get a much lesser rate at Bally's or Paris...I would book at Venetian....Also..the newest hotel in LAS is the Aladdin..have never stayed there...but ya might want to check it out..

I would pick Paris over Bally's. Just came back from staying there for the first time and we really like the hotel-would go back again. We have stayed at Monte Carlo, Ballys, Ceasars, MGM Treasure Island and Mirage. Ask for a corner room, they are bigger and have more closet space. The price is the same. Have dinner at Tres Jazz-excellent service and food.

Hi Vicki - I guess it depends on how much time you will be spending in your room. We have stayed at both hotels. An earlier post about Bally's is correct - the rooms are just fine: clean and spacious. So, if the rates are a lot different and it means more time on the rhoulette wheel or slots, or a nice dinner or show, and you are only going to lay your head down and shower, than go for Ballys and spend the money you save on having fun! The Paris, to be sure, is lovely and newer, the rooms are very nice. But - ya gotta pick your priorities. Hope this helps. Enjoy!

All,

Thanks for your comments. We have decided to stay at Bally's as we will be spending little time in the room and the rates were a little better than the Paris. It's true - the Venetian is a wonderful hotel, but for $300 per night, they can keep it. I can better spend the money at the tables, in the shops and having some really great meals. Thanks :)
