Ballys or Aladdin?
We're staying in Vegas over 4th of July weekend and are deciding between Ballys and Aladdin as both are in the general location we'd like and have comparable rates for a standard room at Aladdin or a newly renovated north tower room at Bally's. Has anyone stayed at both places? How do they compare? In the past we've stayed at Luxor and Excalibur which both had decent rooms but we'd like something closer to the middle of the strip this time. thanks

We stayed at Bally's for the first time in April, upgraded to a Tower room. It was very nice, hotel's in a great location. See if you can get the "Vintage Ballys" package. Weeknights were just $55, plus we got discounts on F&B & "Jubilee" show.

Did they upgrade you at no charge? The reservation desk told us it's extra for the upgrade so that package becomes $79 on weeknights instead of $55.

I think I am in the majority when I say, hands down, Aladdin.

I stayed at the Aladdin and liked it a lot. The bathroom is great--huge. We had a regualr room with view of the mountains. Bally's is next door to the Aladdin.
My vote--Aladdin |
Bally's is close to Aladdin, but not next door. Paris is between Bally's and Aladdin.

The Aladdin is indeed a great hotel. Biggest standard room bathrooms I've ever been in -- and I've stayed in a lot of hotels around the world. Aladdin is at the top of my list in LV.
