bally or flamingo, bellagio for 139

i just got a offer to stay for 2 nights at flamingo, bally, or las vegas hilton for $ 138( for both nights plus $25 voucher towars the food) in exchange to tour hilton timeshare ( we done it in orlando, were fine with it) It seems a best weekend rate for May 2-3. I also found a package for bally at $ 135 per night which include jubelle show, spa for 2at the price of one. What do anybody think of that? we are actually arriving very late on may 1, which is Thusday and for that day i found a good rate for Bellagio at $ 139. Is it worth just for the night? Only other hotels that offer inexpensive rate at this time are stardust , stratosphere and downtown Goldennugget, but location seems not great for us. seems in weekends it is very expensive to stay at Bellagio, venetian or paris We are not a gamblers, just want to see shows and enjoy. We visit las vegas once before and stayed at MGM. also, any suggestions for one day trip outside the city if we rent a car for one day?

I would definitely choose Flamingo for location, Bally's kinda tucked in in the back, takes time to get to the strip. Hilton would be my last choice, far from everything. Can't you see Jubilee cheaper with discount coupons? Not sure if I've seen them on the web or in those free booklets in hotels.

Baikal:
I would totally disagree with Faina about choosing the Flamingo over Bally's.

1st of all, I'm a frquent LV visitor, having gone about 8 times over the last 6 yrs, most recently this past Jan.

As an avid value traveler, I quickly did some rate searches, and yes, the time share offer is a good value, but you should stay at Ball's NOT the Flamingo. While it is true Flamingo has better access to the strip, Bally's access is NOT that big of a hassle, maybe an additional 5 min walk (use carport entrance/exit; there is an elevated moving sidewalk that's more of a hassle and doesn't get you anywhere any faster.
The Bally's casino just finished a major renovation of it's casino and guest rooms. I was VERY impressed at the quality of the rooms.

With regard to whether you should stay at a differnt hotel for the 1st nt, that's really a question that you can answer. In other words, accounting for the fact that you are arriving late, is the hassle of checking out and moving to another hotel worth it? For some people, one of the expereinces of a vacation is to sample different hotels, or stay at an expensive hotel of 1 nt for the expereince, and then move to a more reasonable one for the rest of the trip. To these people, they don't mind the hassle of checking out and mving to another hotel.
Then there are others that will only stay in one place for the entire trip, regardless of the length, since the thought of packing, and the whole checkout checkin process is one to be avoided at all costs.
So you need to decide what type of traveler you are. I would say, though, in your case, It might make more sense to stay at Ballys for the whole trip.
While the Ballys rate you got is good with the coupon, you can get a lower rate without all of the giveaways.
Hotels.com has 5/1 for $109.95,travelworm.com for $109 - (make sure you check taxes & fees before booking)
While the 2 4 1 for the show is a good value, it is ONLY if you use it.
When we were there in Jan., we saw the show on a package with 2 free tkts;
it was goo/ok, definetely what you would think a 'traditional' LV toppless stage show would be. (It's what crusie ship shows aspire to be)

As a side note, I did see that travelworm has the alladin for $55/nt for 5/1, which is a bargain!!!! If you want to save some money, and don't mind switching hotels, I would do that and the timeshare offer!!!
Let me know if you have any mnore questions

thank you so much. I found the $55 alladin for May 1 I just hesitant to book both time share or with travelworm because of their cancellation policy it is time rooms could go down in las Vegas. Regarding the bellagio- I thought to stay reasonably in the hotel that everybody raving about but realize that because of our late arrival it is probably not smart. my time share offer as i mentioned included room for 2 nights and $25 toward food there at $138 plus tax). I spotted that I could get a package from Bally itself for May 1 -the day we are arriving late or for the Saturday( friday is not available)for $135 that included the 2 4 1 show and spa. We did not see this show- during our first visit we saw Mystere, EFX, lance burton and something in Imperial. this time we will not have our son with us so we could go for an adult one- we plan to see O and something else. Should i get the Bally package for the first day and stay with them on time share for the other 2 nights or settle for first Night Alladin and time share for the other 2, and just buy the the show tickets if we want to go. Are they ever available at just recently opened booth for the discounted shows? Any opinion? Thank you

I am posting a link to my Jan '03 trip report that I posted on www.lvol.com

thank you for the link-read it , but my offer from the time share disappear-ballyo lamingo are not available the weekend we will be there, they offer me Hilton las vegas for the same 152 with tax and 25 food voucher bu also offer to add 50 in cash to the offer. I decline, but regret it now. everything that I checked so far on a strip way too much, not worth the money in my opinion. Any other thoughts? Thank you

For day trips outside of Vegas with a car, you might want to consider Hoover Dam/Lake Mead, Red Rock Canyon or Valley of Fire state park. You might also want to squeeze in a visit to Ethel M candies (they have a beautiful cactus garden on the property), and the Liberace Museum (about 2 miles from the strip). Of all mentioned, I especially enjoyed the beauty of both Red Rock and Valley of Fire. ENJOY!

You can't get the offer back? Are you flying in and already have plane tkts? You picked an expensive weekend to go. I will think of about alternatives for you....
Up to how much are you willing to spend for Fri & Sat nt?

Will you consider off-strip, or downtown?

Thank you. We already have tickets. I really want to stay on the strip this is why a decline a offer_probably was not smart. i found good rates for the stratosphere, stardust but i do not think that they are good and location is not much better than hilton. We did not stay in downtown good rate for Golden nuggets but i am hesitant to stay there we are not much of a gamblers also alexis park has not a bad rate that is it I do not want to spent more than 100 for the room without a package- I would rather get a car and stay some were off-off strip and do explore area around. We just want to see "O" and perhaps mamma-mia ir celine dion may be Jubilee and go to one or two nice dinners. husband may be gamble just a little, I do not do it at all- never any lack.
