Bali Hai or Heli USA?

YES, yet another helicopter tour question. But you all are so helpful I just can't help utilizing your resources :) We are only going to go on one $$$ excursion (either heli or Na Pali boat tour). These are the only 45 min. tours in our price range- $99(Bali Hai) or $135 (Heli USA) both offered through activity world. I searched through several months messages for specific info on these 2, but wondered if anyone has personal experience with em.

Thanks!

Heli USA has a video on their website showing some of what we saw on our flight, as I indicated previously here:

If you're only going to take one tour, go for the helicopter ride...you'll see sooooo much more of our beautiful island AND you'll see the rugged Na Pali coastline, too.

HeliUSA departs from Princeville (easy, if you're staying on the north shore); Bali Hai departs from near the Lihu`e Airport.

Thanks JohnD and auntiemaria. I don't know how I missed that post, that was a nice video. We're staying in Princeville so looks like Heli USA would be more convenient, guess we'll have to see if convenience is worth extra $35 each. We may just time our tour with a visit to the Poipu area one day. Or, we arrive in Kauai at about 11am, is that too late in the day for a good heli viewing? Sounds like the heli tour will be more bang for our buck compared with a boat trip.

Morning is the best time for heli trips -- as the day heats up, the clouds start gathering.

Have a _great_ time!
