Bald eagle viewing in Alaska

We are looking at a 7 day cruise. With most of the ports the same is there one better for seeing bald eagles? We are planning June, July or August. Is one month better than another?
Thanks!

We saw several bald eagles in Resurrection Bay in Seward on a day cruise. This was during late spring.

Hope this helps.
Have a happy and safe journey.

The bald eagles of coastal Alaska live there year round.
You don't have to pay big bucks to take a cruise to see bald eagles.
I've already seen my first bald eagle of 2017 along I-5 north of Albany Oregon.
I enjoyed the trip to Alaska in June. I saw lots of wildlife including at least one eagle.

If you depart or arrive in Vancouver, they are easy along the beaches. We saw them at Spanish Banks, which is west of downtown. They were so common my friend thought they were vultures.

The place where I saw them most easily in Alaska was Haines (one was waiting for us when we pulled into port early). Also in Ketchikan at Totem Bight there was a random fly-by. But they weren't really as common as sparrows. There may be excursions you can book which go to known hangouts.

Or you an check "ebird.com" for sightings if you want to DIY.

They were sitting on the airport fence in Juneau where our flight landed. And we saw hundreds of them in the trees at Petersburg as our boat pulled into the harbor.

I saw some in every port on our cruise up the Inland Passage. No need to make special plans.

On our Alaskan cruise we saw hundreds of eagles every time we were in port....along the beaches, around the docks, in the trees. They were as plentiful as seagulls at the jersey shore, literally everywhere.

Which months were these cruises? I went late season and they were less common. May be related to salmon runs.

>>Inland Passage.<<

oops -- inside passage . . .

Mine was very late season -- the last cruise before the ship repositioned for the Fall.
