Bakery in Santa Fe?

Not exactly a travel question, but do you know of any good bakeries in Santa Fe? I want to send a cake to one of my employees who telecommutes from there. I know there are national bakeries, but she recently moved there and I would love to use a local business. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks. -- Tammy

If you don't have success searching with Google using "bakery", consider also using the term "panaderia".

Cloud Cliff and Santa Fe Baking Company are the first two that come to mind.

There's a magazine called LocalFlavor that would have other suggestions. www.localflavor.com, I think, is their website.

Thanks Lee Ann and TripleSec. I had done a google search, but didn't use the term panaderia (so I'll try). Cloud Cliff and Santa Fe Baking Company did come up, but I'll also look into Localflavor.com! -- Tammy

I was also going to suggest Santa Fe Baking Co. In addition, you may want to post this query to the southwestern forum of chowhound.com.

Isn't there a fantastic French bakery located in or right next door to that really nice hotel near the town square. La Fonda Hotel?
