Bahia or Catamaran in SD
 

Has anyone stayed at either of these hotels-trying to make comparison of which is better.I know the Bahia has a great location.

i haven't personally stayed at either one but for location and the look of the hotels i'd go with the catamaran. 1 blook from the beach, right on the bay and a little higher standard of restaurants within walking distance compared to the bahia. they also have a nice pool area.

The Bahia is also on the bay, near the beach and the rooms look similar. The Bahia looks like it has more activities.They are probably quite similar.

they are owned by the same family.

On the weekends, there's actually a two-story paddleboat that you can take between the two. There's a bar and usually kereoke or a live band.

I agree the Catamaran looks nicer.

The Bahia has some nice (in a funky way) rooms with sliding doors that open more or less right onto the soft sand beach of the bay. My folks took us kids there in the 50s, we took our son in the 80s, fun both times. I don't know if the Catamaran has comparable rooms.
