Bahamas or Cozumel?

I'm about to scream! I can't decide where i want to go in March for vacation. It's between these two; i like to snorkel and i want to know where the best waters are, so please inform me who has been to these two places and which is the most beautiful. Thank you.

I would pick Cozumel- more of a small town atmosphere, good restaurants. Chankanab Park and other sites, are good from the shore, and on the backsid e-some good beaches with informal restaurants.

Bahamas has wonderful islands to do just that but Nassau & Freeport are a bigger city atmosphere- The smaller islands are great-

Check out both - or go to one and next year go to the other.

For the time of year you are going, I would suggest Cozumel.
The air and water temps are warmer (Bahamas can be chilly in March), and the snorkeling in Cozumel is unparalled almost anywhere else in the world.
Cozumel is not a particularly pretty island, but the water is warm, the beer is cold, the people are friendly, and the prices are good.
I would suggest the Intercontinental Presidente hotel.
Awesome snorkeling directly off the beautiful beach in front of the hotel.

I'd suggest one of the outislands of the Bahamas Harbour Island. March can be chilly in the evenings but during the day the temps are usually in the 70's to the 80's.

Harbour Island is the #1 beach in the carribean according to the Travel Channel this year, and it is a perfect little get away island, with nice accomodations, great restaurants and amazing stretch of pink sand beach.

There is a reef right off shore for snorkling or you can go out on a trip with a local guide or one of the two dive shops on island.

Try the www.briland.com site for more info on the island and some pictures.

One thing is the island is VERY safe, virtually no crime and no one on the beach to bother you.

Even during high season there are few people on the beach.

Have a great time and let me know if you need any more info on the Bahamas.

The weather is your deciding factor. There are no guarantees in the Bahamas in March - I have friends who visited there in April several years ago and they had very cold weather with lots of rain.

yes, that did make a determining factor, lol

Unless you are going to the Out Islands of the Bahamas, go to Cozumel.
