Back to the Big Island in two days!!!
 

DH and I are off to the BI on Wednesday for two weeks. I am so ready to go. The winter here in Colorado has been wearing on us and we need to feel and smell that sweet island air. Plus we just returned from a three-day trip (business) to Chicago--talk about cold. Anyway my brother is joining us for one of the weeks (his first time in Hawaii) and we will be doing more stuff so I promise to do a trip report when I return.

We're off to Florida at the weekend for some much needed sunshine but I'd much rather swap flights with you!

The Big Island is one of my favorite places in the world.

Three nights at Waipio Wayside B&B http://www.waipiowayside.com/ in the Bird's Eye Room. We usually spend a few nights there on our trips to the BI. DH likes to play golf at Waimea Country Club. Love the Hamakua Coast--so laid back.
Then off to Puna for four nights, staying at the Lagoon House--http://www.lagoonhouse.com/ in Kapoho. That's when my brother will join us.
Then 7 nights in south Kona--we rent a house from a friend in the local village of Ke'ei at the south end of Kealakekua Bay. The house is rustic but the location can't be beat--oceanfront with Ke'ei Beach one minute away--if you walk slowly.
Can't wait to be there tomorrow!

Hope the weather improves for you! Yesterday was nice, more rain today.

Thanks for your good wishes for no rain. But even if it rains, it's still warmer than here (Colorado). I'm bringing lots of books!
