Back into camping
 

After years of camping and then not, we would like to get back into camping. Backpacking and also day hiking/biking and then camping. Looking for good campgrounds in NC and VA. Help please. Murphy to Manteo is fine, so is anywhere in VA. Any bike trails that are great? thanx

Have you been to South Mountain State Park near Morganton? The waterfall is beautiful and the only way to see it at sunrise is by camping out. I think they allow bicycling in the park. There are various trails once you are in the park, but the park is a bit difficult to get to (with directions like "turn of the paved road"). <BR> <BR>There is also the Appalitchan trail and the Mountains to the coast trail.
