Hi kodi, I have never visited Minneapolis I am sorry to say but I certainly enjoyed your trip report. Just saw your report right now!

Your 5 days sound wonderful kodi..the collapsed bridge was an horrific tragedy..I am glad you were not on it. My heart breaks for the families that have lost their loved ones.

Everyone I have known from Minneapolis and other parts of MN have always been such a joy and such beautiful people including my Godmother, my daughters exmother-in-law and our own dear Tiff.

Having a friend take you to their favorite restaurants and cafes is the best way to enjoy a new city kodi. I am glad you had such a wonderful time.

Now that you've been to Minneapolis, you might want to try reading some of John Sanford's "Prey" crime novels. They all take place there and the novels give you a great sense of the city--the criminal elements anyway...;-)

(The author was a Pulitzer prize winning journalist for a Minneapolis newspaper)

I LOVE the 'Prey' novels! Happy to find another fan. I started reading them before I was familiar with Minneapolis. Perhaps I should go back.

LoveItaly, Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate them.

BTilke, I can't believe it. When I read your post , the author sounded familiar. I just checked my bookcase and I have 10 books of his waiting to be read. Now I'll enjoy them even more. If only I can find the time to get reading them!

I love crime novels..thanks for the suggestion BTilke. Kodi..I have a long list of books I still haven't read. Life gets in the way of one of my favorite hobbies which is reading.

I'm glad you mentioned the twin cities grill! That has been my mom's favorite restaurant for the longest time, especially the BBQ chicken flatbread. It really is good!
