Bachelorette Party

A group of 30-something women are heading up to Manhattan for a bachelorette party. I'm hoping to get some ideas for fun places for us to go out and celebrate. Thanks for your help!

One time I went to this restaurant where there was wave after wave of groups of women coming in for bachelorette parties. It was surreal. The staff would hand out tambourines and the bride would get up on the table and dance. They were also doing special shots. I just Googled it and I'm pretty sure it was Mangia e Bevi on 9th Ave. & 53rd St.

While Googling I also found this page, which has some other ideas:

Hope that helps!

Are you looking for suggestions for dinner, or for clubs/bars. How many of you are there, and how much would you like to spend on dinner per head (including drinks, tax, tip)?

Went to the city for two bacholorette parties.

First stayed at the W hotel in time square, which was trendy and fun.

Second went to Mangia...previously mentioned by sunny16. Very fun but risque! Very rowdy - good food. LOTS of other bachlorette parties there. Dirty-joke humor-like people drinking out of Penis straws (hopefully I can say that without big brother deleting my post). It was fun though...with other women a good laugh.

We followed up our dinner there with a show. Naked Boys Singing. Which was exactly what is sounds like. Very funny and naked!

I'm looking for ideas for both restaurants and bars/clubs that would be fun for a group of about 10 30-something women to go out. I know most places have a cover charge and drinks are expensive compared to where we live. Doesn't necessarily have to be "trendy" places just ones that will be fun, some dancing, etc. The more suggestions the better. Thanks!

For entertainment purposes, I would suggest:

The Donkey Show - retelling of Midsummer's Night Dream in a disco theme. There will be tons of bachelorette parties there.
www.thedonkeyshow.com

Awesome 80s Prom - same idea, interactive show with characters. VERY popular with bachelorette parties.

For dinner:
Tortilla Flats
Mexican Radio

The food in these places is good enough, but they are really fun places to drink a load of margaritas and very welcoming for bachelorette groups.

I'm assuming your group is going to be a typical bachelorette crowd - loud, drunk, lot's of inappropriate props, and all around fun, so I'm not really directing you towards sophisticated places. If you are looking for a more upscale evening, I can definitely provide different options for dining and entertainment.

What about the Museum of Sex on Madison Avenue? I haven't gotten the chance to go yet so I don't know how it is. It might be fun for a tipsy group of girls to take a run through.

Um, not sure if I should admit this, but I've been to the M.O.S. I don't think it would that fun for a bachelorette. You would be better off just going to a "fun" toy shop. Plus, I don't know how late it's open, but I don't think it would be open for after dinner hours.

For my bachelorette I did Mangia e Bevi. It's just loads of fun - but there will be other parties there too.

For a, um, classy sex shop - babes in toyland downtown should do the trick.

We just took a friend to Hogs and Heifers in the meatpacking district. You say to yourself "I can't believe I am in this bleep-hole but you end up having fun anyway.

There's also Casa La Femme 1076 1st Ave - where you can sit under a tent, smoke a hookah and see belly dancing.
