Babymoon - Spa, great food and nature setting ideal - flexible on location

hi there,

My husband and I are expecting our first child in April of next year, and would like to get away on a 'babymoon' in mid to late November. We are from Toronto, Ontario and are flexible to travel across the United States. We are looking for a 4+ star resort that has GREAT food, a beautiful spa and ideally is set in nature setting or large property where we can go for hikes, walks and just enjoy the fresh air. I'm sure there are some nice places in Vermont, NY state, Colorado - but don't really know where to start. We aren't too worried about the weather, and understand given the trip is in November we are likely going somewhere that ranges between 10 and 20oC. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks so much,
Cara

We love Devil's Thumb Ranch and Spa, in Tabernash, Colorado.

It is everything you describe. The service there is at the level of a Ritz. Pricey, but it could have some specials in November, before Thanksgiving.

The Ranch House restaurant there is exquisite. And Heck's tavern is in the gorgeous rock and timber lodge building.

The entire property is Eco-friendly, set back from the highway a few miles in ranching country. Very peaceful.

They have horses, hiking, and cross-country skiing on property. Their vans will take you on outings, too. Highly recommended.

I took pictures there, of my King room, which I could email to you, if wanted. A friend's DD had a wonderful wedding and reception there this June.

BTW, it just occurred to me-- to tell you this is not an ad! Given my screen name. We have owned properties in Grand County for 40 years, and have been customers at this Ranch through its many evolutions.

This is a beautiful place; has everything you are asking for and more. You can fly to Las Vegas and take a shuttle[2 hours] or you can fly to St George UT

Their prices include 3 meals a day and they have a spectacular spa. Many classes are included too.

Try this one

They do expire and these don't have high % of success rate, but always worth a try.
