Baby does Seattle

I'm surprising my husband with a trip to Seattle for his 30th birthday. Our 7-month-old baby will be coming with us. We're flying in on the morning of Sat, Oct 24 and returning on Wed, Oct 28. Any suggestions of itinerary, things to do where a baby won't slow you down too much, possible babysitting service for a night out? Thanks so much for taking time for us!

A co-worker just went to Seattle with her husband and one year old(in prep for a trip to Peru-see how baby does on the plane etc). I will let you know what she did when I speak with her this weekend.

As long as you have a stroller along (and probably rain grear for everyone) you can do all the regular downtown Seattle sight-seeing. The Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square historic district, Smith Tower, International district/Chinatown, the Waterfront, ride a ferry, the Space Needle/Seattle Center, etc.

I currently live in Seattle and it is getting cold around here so pack some warm clothes! I would definitely walk through the Pike Place Market; however, it gets really busy on the weekends. The Aquarium might be something for your baby to enjoy. There is a troll under the bride at Aurora which is pretty neat. I love walking along the piers at night and looking at the city lights. Other than that suze pretty much nailed everything to do in Seattle.
