B&Bs/Inns in Vermont
Does anyone have any experience with any of these places in Vermont - Castle Hill Resort & Spa in Ludlow, Red Clover Inn in Mendon, and The Inn at the Round Barn Inn in Waitsfield? My husband and I are looking for a 3-4 night get-away and I saw these places on Luxurylink.com. We would not have kids with us, so the fewer kids, the better!
Thanks for your help. |

While I can't comment on the inns, I can comment on the areas they are located in. All three are in ski/resort areas. Of the three, I like the Waitsfield/Warren (Mad River Valley) the best. It's absolutely gorgeous. Lots of hiking opportunities. You are close enough to Burlington if you'd like to spend a few hours there. You are also close to Stowe if you feel like visiting there.
Whichever area you choose, you won't go wrong. It's beautiful up here, especially now as it's nice and green and the spring flowers are out. |
The only one I'm familiar with is the Round Barn Inn - we biked past it last year, and stopped to poke around. It looked very nice, and the setting was a 10+. I would have no problem staying here.

Thanks for the replies. Can anybody else offer any information?

I'm hoping some weekend readers can hop in here. Does anybody else have information on these or other Vermont locations, hopefully with not a lot of kids as this get-away is for us adults.
Thanks for your help. |
Here is one of our favorites www.reluctantpanther.com
Just beautiful, lots to do or nothing at all and no children allowed. There's also some romantic dining very close, two I can highly recommend is the Black Swan and Mistral's at Toll Gate. There is also a lovely 3 course breakfast served at the RP, which is included. |
I just clicked on my link to make sure it worked and found that the RP was destroyed by a fire this past October...what a shame. They are rebuilding, but the building was historic and it was really so beautiful.
Sorry for posting without checking first. |
Hockeymom, Not on your list, but the Equinox in Manchester has some specials and it is gorgeous, we stayed for almost a week this past March at the Charles Orvis Inn (part of the resort) and will definitely be going back. It's the nicest Inn we've stayed in, and Manchester Village is beautiful.

Thank you. I will check it out.
