B&B's in Santa Fe

I've been reading reviews of all the B&B's in Santa Fe and having a hard time making a choice. We're planning a trip there end of summer. We'd like to spend under $200 and like something where we can walk to sites (10 minutes or so). We wanted something in the traditional Santa Fe style. Any suggestions? Thanks

We stayed at El Farolito a couple years ago, and have reservations there again this September: http://www.farolito.com/. I think they have a couple rooms under $200, but I doubt you'd regret spending the extra for those that are a little more.

When are you planning to go? If you've got flexibility, you might want to plan around the Wine & Chile Fiesta. Great fun.

Another vote for El Farolito. Our stay there was pure heaven!

I don't know how long you're staying, but if it's as long as a week, we just returned from staying at one of the Campanilla Compound units and thought it was great.

Two stories, 2 bathrooms, 2 fireplaces, big outdoor patio on the 2nd floor, and 10 minute walk to plaza. We paid $175 a night but it might go up for summer.

Thanks all -- I appreciate your suggestions. We'll be there the first weekend in Sept, so no Wine & Chili festival for us.

Anyone else with ideas

We enjoyed our stay at Hacienda Nicholas. It is in the adobe style, very comfortable rooms, reasonably priced and close to both the Plaza and the Canyon Road galleries. See my trip report from December, 2007

Thanks for all the suggestions. We ended up picking a new suite,Casa de Ristras which we rented ($180 per night) thru Adobe Star B&B.

I saw that thread and was interested in a couple. I emailed the owner with an inquiry and questions on a couple of the rentals. Unfortunately I never heard back. As a matter of fact I didn't hear back from any of the VRBO to which I sent inquiries. Perhaps others will have better luck.
