B&Bs in Charleston and Savannah

Am looking for B&B recommendations in both Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA. Also "must sees" as
well as exceptional restaurants

About a year ago we stayed at a charming place in Savannah called the Planters Inn. Right next door is a fabulous restaurant called The Old Pink House, where we had one of the best meals ever. We still talk about it. It is in a good location, centrally located. The phone number for the Planters Inn is 800-554-1187. If you do a search on the Internet for Savannah inns you'll find lots of information - that's how I found out about this place. Have fun!

Wer also stayed at the Planters Inn in Charleston and absolutely loved it. The room was beautifully appointed and there was always iced tea in the lobby/sitting room durin the day and snacks and wine in the early evening. We met some really nice people staying there and would go back in a flash.Charleston is one of my favourite places as well.

Last year we stayed in Savannah at the President's Quarters. It is a historic Inn and you stay in one of the rooms named after a president who visited Savannah. We stayed in the Franklin Roosevelt Presidential Suite which was fabulous. Biggest room we have ever stayed in. Had a lovely firelplace, whirlpool tub, and a balcony where we were served breakfast. It was close to everything and had a parking lot. The rate was about $140 a night, but other rooms went for much less.

We stayed at The Planters Inn in Charleston in March and absolutely loved it! I would highly recommend staying there. We have stayed at a few B&B's in Charleston and this is our favorite. Our favorite restaurants are The Peninsula Grill and Magnolia's. I have heard from friends and relatives that Anson's and Slightly North of Broad are also wonderful, but we have yet to try those out. You will love Charleston!

Regarding Savannah, you might try the Simply Savannah website: http://www.savcvb.com. We visited Savannah last Labor Day weekend & had a terrific time, despite the heat. Can concur on Planters Inn. Would suggest a visit to Owens-Thomas House. Tourist Info center is also helpful. Enjoy.

I'm confused. Is the Planter's Inn in Savannah or Charleston? If there is one in both, are they "related"?
