B&B places in VNP , Kona, Hilo

I am planning to stay in each of these areas -> VNP, kona, hilo during my upcoming visit (3 people). Upon research, I found that B&Bs are one of the most economical accomodation options. Pls recommend me some..

I'm not sure why you want to stay in both Hilo and Volcano--they are only about 45 minutes apart. But here is a website with many of the B&B's on the BI--http://www.bbonline.com/hi/region4.html. Hope it's helpful.

We stayed at the Inn at Kulaniapia in the Hilo area - we weren't that crazy about the room, pretty basic, but they did have their own waterfall on the property, which was really cool. Pretty affordable too.

In Volcano, we stayed at the Kilauea Lodge and loved it, not exactly a B&B, but similar.

Country Gooe B&B in Volcano also has LOTS of cottages for rent in the area. We stayed in the main house and loved it! www.countrygoose.com

We stayed at the Hale Hualalai B&B near Kona, and we loved it. Look it up on tripadvisor to see reviews. Lonn serves wonderful breakfasts, and the views from your private lanai are beautiful.

We stayed at the Country Goose B&B (at the main house), and it was definitely not a favorite of ours! When we return to the volcano area, we'll stay at the Kilauea Lodge.

Have stayed at both Kilauea Lodge (www.kilauealodge.com) near VNP and Holualoa Inn (www.holualoainn.com) on the Kona side in coffee country. Neither is inexpensive, but both were great. Check out the websites for a better idea of what they're like.

Aloha vindox

During our amazing exploration of BI last month, when we circumnavigated the whole island, we stayed at
http://www.hale-hualalai.com/index.html
near Kona, a B&B that, thanks to Samsaf’s recommendation (mahalo, Samsaf ((*)), we enjoyed so much we extended our stay! Have also written a review on TripAdvisor.

At VNP, we stayed at Kate’s Volcano Places, a B&B in Volcano Village
http://www.volcanoplaces.com/kahi/kahimalu.html
for two nights, and highly recommend Kahi Malu – a cosy cottage in the rainforest just ten minutes drive from VNP’s entry and Visitors Centre. Also a review on TA.

Good luck with your planning,

Jackie

Jackie, I'm so glad you enjoyed the Hale Hualalai. Wow, I don't think anybody has ever stayed anywhere specifically based on my recommendation! Weren't Lonn's breakfasts wonderful?

Earlier this year, we stayed at The Bay House B&B in Hilo, large room with private lanai steps from the water, quiet yet 4 minutes walk to shops and restaurants, and close to all the sights on the west side of the island.

In Waimea, Kamuela Inn--basically a motel with a continental breakfast--nothing fancy but inexpensive--http://www.innsite.com/inns/A002515.html

In Honokaa, Waipio Wayside B&B, a more traditional B&B http://www.waipiowayside.com/
