AVC; Silverleaf--Vegas?
I received a letter about winning stuff--I know that is a lie, but it also mentions airfare and 2 nights (for 2 people) in Vegas.
I know I have to attend a timeshare presentation here (in Texas, not in Vegas) prior to the trip.
I have been to Vegas many times and don't need a big, nice hotel. Anywhere (yes, El Cortez even) downtown is fine. We love to Cortez. Riveria, 4 Q, Trop, any of those are fine.
Wondering what kind of fees we have to pay. They said $49 p/p refundable deposit. What is this? If I can get 2 plane tickets, and 2 nights for a few hour presentation, sure I'll do it.
Am I missing something?

What you are missing is that the trip may never be available when you want it.
If you have to suffer through the presentation on the spot at least you are already there. If you do the presentation near your home the chances that the trip will never be available when you can travel are slim to none.
To me, obviously a scam. (Do not go to any presentation unless they give you plane tickets and confirmed hotel reservation - both of which you can confirm - before you get there.)

We are pretty flexible (no kids) and can go any weekend in February, March, April, etc. I hope it is not too hard to get a flight.
The hotel and flight is contingent on going to the presentation, so no way we would get those first.
